Snoring and Sleep Apnea

Snoring is a common problem which is often due to excess tissue in the throat as well as nasal airway obstruction. Patients who actually stop breathing at night may have sleep apnea which contributes to multiple health problems. Each person with these complaints undergoes a physical examination and may need to have a sleep study done to check for sleep apnea. There are many treatment options both medical and surgical depending on severity and cause of the problem.
