Thyroid Nodule
Thyroid nodules or growths can be due to benign and malignant conditions. Evaluation begins with a history and physical examination. Further testing including blood tests, imaging studies such as ultrasound and thyroid scans, and needle biopsy can be obtained. Some patients may need thyroid surgery and intraoperative recurrent laryngeal nerve monitoring can be utilized to help to lessen chances of hoarseness.
